Outdoor blinds reduce room temperature by 4 degrees, says Tomáš Minařík from Olomouc

Tomáš Minařík, from the Tabulový Vrch Villa Park in Olomouc, has the C‑80 outdoor blinds from NEVA installed on a glass wall in his living room. They offer him the privacy he needs, and in the summer, they also noticeably reduce room temperature. When the louvres are up, the living room temperature goes up to 30°C. However, once the louvres are down when he darkens the room, the temperature drops to 26 °C within a few hours.

Although Tomáš Minařík could theoretically have chosen the screening when he bought his new flat, the building was already prepared for the installation of external blinds. “Diamond Design had prepared a louvre box, so I took advantage of that. I contacted several companies that install outdoor blinds, but the conditions were comparable for all of them. So I chose Diamond Design because they did the preparation, and I knew they already knew the building,” recalls Tomáš Minařík.

I was delighted by the trouble-free installation

Tomáš Minařík was pleased that he did not have to deal with anything at all during the measuring and installation of the outdoor blinds. “When the screening was installed, the flat was not yet finished, and my girlfriend and I were not living there. The people from Diamond Design measured the windows in the living room and came two weeks later and installed the blinds. I was not even on site for the installation, I just left them the keys, and they dropped them off in my mailbox,” he says.

He and his girlfriend moved into the flat a few months later and have been praising the outdoor blinds ever since. “I used to live in a tower block with traditional internal blinds. Fine for basic screening, but you cannot compare them with these outdoor ones. They were unreliable, the cord broke several times. These outdoor blinds are in a whole different league,” he says.

The outdoor blinds fit naturally into the wooden terrace design

The blinds both cool and provide privacy

Since the flat is on the ground floor, Tomáš Minařík appreciates most that the outdoor blinds make his living room invisible and make him feel safer. “The blinds give us the privacy we need, including a feeling of security. Even though we are quite far from the pavement, one can see inside from the outside thanks to the large glass wall.”

In the summer, the outdoor blinds noticeably lower the temperature in the room. “I did not believe it, but with the blinds it is actually cooler inside. I measured it on purpose — with the blinds up, the living room temperature was 30°C, but when I pulled them down and darkened the room, the temperature dropped to 26°C. That is a difference you can already feel in the summer, and in that respect, the outdoor blinds pleasantly surprised me,” he says.

Tomáš Minařík would recommend outdoor blinds to anyone.

I recommend outdoor blinds to everyone now

Tomáš Minařík was also pleased that everyone who comes to visit him praises the blinds. “The outdoor blinds are quite prominent on the window, so everyone notices them. And everyone has words of praise for them.”

“Without getting anything out of it, I now recommend the blinds to everyone. My only regret about them is that they are quite slow to pull up and down. But since we pull them up and down twice a day at most, it does not matter so much. If I ever move into a house, I will definitely want outdoor blinds again.. And I will probably contact Diamond Design again and ask for NEVA blinds,” concludes Tomáš Minařík.
