{"id":18601,"date":"2022-10-16T11:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-16T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.neva.eu\/uncategorized\/neva-under-the-magnifying-glass-from-whom-we-get-fabrics-for-screen-roller-blinds-and-why\/"},"modified":"2022-11-21T08:19:53","modified_gmt":"2022-11-21T07:19:53","slug":"neva-under-the-magnifying-glass-from-whom-we-get-fabrics-for-screen-roller-blinds-and-why","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.neva.eu\/en\/from-the-life-of-neva\/neva-under-the-magnifying-glass-from-whom-we-get-fabrics-for-screen-roller-blinds-and-why\/","title":{"rendered":"NEVA under the magnifying glass: from whom do we get fabrics for screen roller blinds and why"},"content":{"rendered":"        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-paragraph typography my-1\">\n              \n<p>When we were selecting suppliers, we conducted market research and several rounds of testing:<\/p>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-list typography my-1\">\n              \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>the sales department surveyed <strong>customer requirements and expectations<\/strong>,<\/li><li>the design department carried out <strong>durability testing of<\/strong> fabrics for compatibility with our profile system and tested the number of life cycles,<\/li><li>colleagues in production verified processing options on <strong>production<\/strong>equipment.<\/li><\/ul>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-paragraph typography my-1\">\n              \n<p>In the end, two suppliers won:<\/p>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-heading typography my-1\">\n              \n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Belgian company Helioscreen<\/h2>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-paragraph typography my-1\">\n              \n<p>From Helioscreen we take <strong>fabrics with the trade name Serg\u00e9<\/strong>, specifically <strong>Serg\u00e9 3%<\/strong>. These are made from glass fibre coated with a&nbsp;PVC layer. As the fibres are coated before weaving, regular meshes are visible in the fabric and the fabric resembles a&nbsp;net.<\/p>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-paragraph typography my-1\">\n              \n<p>For this type of fabric, we initially chose from three top suppliers from France and Belgium. However, after comparing all the parameters (quality, price, delivery conditions and customer support) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.helioscreen.com\/en\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Helioscreen<\/a> came out the&nbsp;best.<\/p>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-paragraph typography my-1\">\n              \n<p><strong>Helioscreen is part of the Hunter Douglas Group<\/strong>, the world leader in window shading. It is headquartered in Rotterdam. Helioscreen has been manufacturing screen fabrics for over 50&nbsp;years and employs around 100 people. One of their unique innovations, for example, is their <strong>DSW<\/strong> (Dynamic Stability Weaving) technology, a&nbsp;way of weaving the fibres straight to make the final fabric more stable and durable.<\/p>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-paragraph typography my-1\">\n              \n<p>Fabric production at Helioscreen produces minimal waste and the glass fibres are <strong>100% recyclable<\/strong>. These fabrics are made of polyester (PES) fibre coated with a&nbsp;PVC layer. To the eye, they look like a&nbsp;solid surface because the fabric is first knitted from the bare fibres and then coated as a&nbsp;whole.<\/p>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-paragraph typography my-1\">\n              \n<p>In this segment, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sergeferrari.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Serge Ferrari<\/a> has a&nbsp;dominant market position, so it was an obvious choice for us. They have five production sites across Europe and employ more than 1,000 people.<\/p>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-paragraph typography my-1\">\n              \n<p>Serge Ferrari fabrics are produced using <strong>Pr\u00e9contraint<\/strong>technology. The material is stretched in both directions during production and then coated with a&nbsp;thick layer of PVC. This makes&nbsp;it:<\/p>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-list typography my-1\">\n              \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>extremely strong,<\/li><li>resistant to rupture, deformation and stretching,<\/li><li>water resistant.<\/li><li>resistant to harsh climatic conditions and UV radiation.<\/li><\/ul>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-paragraph typography my-1\">\n              \n<p>Thanks <strong>to the lower coarseness of the coating<\/strong> (compared to other Soltis fabrics), the Serge Ferrari roller blind when pulled up doesn\u2019t take up as much space on the&nbsp;shaft.<\/p>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-paragraph typography my-1\">\n              \n<p>In addition, thanks to the so-called <strong>micro-perforations<\/strong> of the Serge Ferrari fabric, they allow air to flow through and thus prevent overheating of the space between the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.neva.eu\/en\/textile-screens\/\">screen roller blind<\/a> and the window.<\/p>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-image typography my-1\">\n              \n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/www.neva.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/NEVA-od-koho-bereme-latky-2-1024x512.jpg\" alt class=\"wp-image-17854\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.neva.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/NEVA-od-koho-bereme-latky-2-1024x512.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.neva.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/NEVA-od-koho-bereme-latky-2-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.neva.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/NEVA-od-koho-bereme-latky-2-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.neva.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/NEVA-od-koho-bereme-latky-2-1536x768.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.neva.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/NEVA-od-koho-bereme-latky-2.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption>Soltis type fabrics look more like a&nbsp;solid surface with&nbsp;holes.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-paragraph typography my-1\">\n              \n<p>With both suppliers, Helioscreen and Serge Ferrari, the cooperation works and every order has worked out well. They deliver the fabrics by the agreed dates and in high quality.<\/p>\n      <\/section>\n\n\n        <section class=\"component component-gutenberg-paragraph typography my-1\">\n              \n<p><em>\u201cCommunication is also important for us. It is at a&nbsp;high level in both companies. During our first purchases and deliveries they explained and advised everything to us.
